Russ Bowman was born in in California and presently lives near Portland, Oregon. He is widowed twice and is presently married to a photographer from Georgia who awakened this interest. For now he will stick to the north west, but he loves our land and the people who live in it all over our nation. Once a machinist, tool and die maker, now a care giver and pastor, he is reinventing himself with his new life. Watch as he expands his interests to different types of photography with varied subject matter. For now, starting with natural subjects, he will go into the Portland area seeking buildings, art, human interest, many times turning his photography into watercolor prints. Stop by now and then to observe the progress and changes as this art form develops. He invites positive criticism as other opinions are given weight as he learns.
