Ruth Dyer - Fine Artist
In all her work, Ruth is keenly commited to using found objects and recycled materials. Over the years, she has turned junk into treasures - old windows into garden art; colourful bedsheets into beautiful rag rugs; buttons and bits of hardware into delightful suncatchers. Lately, her passion has turned to textiles - and her work now includes primitive/traditional rug hooking, and wet and dry felting.
Since her move from Toronto to Lakefield, Ontario seven years ago, Ruth has become very involved in the local arts community. She began Artisan Alley, which ran for three summers in the alleyway next to Nuttshell Next Door cafe; founded the Christmas at the Marshland Centre show and sale which is now a village tradition; and is a member of the Lakefield Farmers' Market.
Ruth Dyer does not have any events scheduled at this time.
