My name is Sandra L. Vardaman and I live in Indiana. Although I am mainly a self-taught artist, I have studied with Jerry Yarnell, Robert Warren and have taken classes at the Indianapolis Art Center. I started out painting traditional scenes with oils and switched to acrylics a few years ago. I now mainly paint Abstracts but I also continue to paint traditional and expressionistic paintings. I love to paint on textured backgrounds. Sometimes I use various things such as birdseed, beads, eggshells, and regular acrylic mediums. I am a member of the Southside Art League and the Hoosier Salon. My paintings were accepted into the Midwest Juried Abstract Exhibition in 2011 and 2013. Many of my oil paintings are in private collections and I recently sold an abstract painting at the Hendricks County Arts Go. Most of my paintings are on gallery wrapped canvases with finished sides. There is no need for framing. All are finished with a protective coating. At the moment, originals are not for sale but will be in the near future. Prints are available.
