Sara Rincon is an up and coming artist currently living in the Middle Georgia area. She received her Bachelors of arts in May 2012 from Georgia College and State University (now Georgia College) and currently works as a graphic designer in her home town of Fort Valley. She has plans to attend a graduate degree program within the next few years.
Rincon's most recent series work, DogEared, represents the journey and the journaling of the self while navigating everyday life with anxiety. India Ink, bubbles, burned paper, scorched wood and black acrylic bring to life tumultuous emotions and shimmering memories marked in time. Each work represents a touching moment, an ever present nostalgia, and a constant, threatening darkness. The series aims to evoke growth and self-knowledge, and for the artist, acts as a form of closure.
Rincon is also an avid crafter and poet and when not working with fine art, finds enjoyment creating jewelry or writing.
