I was born Sept. 11, 1968 in Sedalia, MO. I graduated from Smith Cotton High School in 1986. Besides art classes in high school I have had no formal training. I have been drawing and painting since I was about 4 yrs old.
I was born with only 1 full finger and a partial thumb and index finger on my right hand and 2 full fingers and 3 partial fingers on my left hand and have had many surgeries. I am right handed and have had to learn differnt ways to hold pencils and brushes but because of my love of art I have never let this stop me from doing what I love.
While in high school I started exploring other mediums besides pencil. I started painting in acrylics. Two years ago I expermented with oils and found that I really enjoy them.
I have combined the two and now work in a mix medium of oil and acrylic and this is what most of my painting are done in.
I have entered some of my drawings in the Missouri State fair as a young teen in the amature division and have won a few ribbons. I have entered oil paintings in city fairs and have won blue ribbons and peoples choice awards.
I have sold many paintings and drawings to private individuals.
I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy painting.
