I have always loved art and artists. My early childhood was submerged in art and it left a life long impression on me. To this day I can not walk by an art supply store without at least peeking in. I am a self taught artist, drawing and painting have been my primary form of artistic expression. In the past few years I have discovered a love for digital photography and for working on collages made from recycled cards, calendars and findings. I enjoy the journey of finding those perfect moments in time and capturing them in a photograph.
For the past 5 years I have been recovering from a rare cancer recurrence. Many of my photographs and paintings are of imagery that I feel gave me hope in some way. I have learned that you must surround yourself with beauty and grace during a difficult healing process. Gardening and the creative and nurturing process of planting my own garden have been my greatest saviors.
