Sheila Tibbs, who always signs her works as 'Ashlin' has been both a free-lance and staff artist. She has worked for the Agricultural Research Center of Florida as illustrator for their publications. She worked as staff artist for 'Stablewear by Jacqui', drawing and painting many breeds of dogs, horses, and big cats, to be reproduced on many products they sold in America and England. She also worked on the artisan staff that maintained the famous touring 'Whitehouse' scale model owned by John Zweifel of Pinecastle, Florida.
Now working only for herself, Ashlin has two very different art interests. She paints realistic, rugged, Florida wildlife scenes in oil, featuring deer, panther, and bear. Ashlin's other interest is fantasy art which usually has some didactic or psychological meaning.
Though born in Maryland adjacent to Washington D.C., Ashlin was raised near Orlando, Florida. She and her husband had a horse ranch where she trained horses professionally. She is an avid rider in all styles of horsemanship, but is now focusing on promoting her art career. She has attended and made sales in many indoor and outdoor art shows, but is now entering the on-line print market as well.
