Having taken an interest in art and drawing as a child, I began my artistic endeavours by copying sketches of Disney characters and dreaming of the day that I would become a famous Disney cartoonist.
As time progressed, I moved beyond Disney cartoons and began developing my own style using pencil as my primary medium for creating sketches -- primarily of wildlife.
While pencil sketches are my first love, I have begun experimenting with coloured pencil and watercolours. Pleased with the new results and adventuring into coloured pencil art classes, I am now looking to experiment with various other media including acrylic paints.
While wildlife is one of my favourite subjects to try to bring to life, I am now finding an absolute fascination in nature settings and landscapes.
However, there will always be something about the wildness of an animal racing through the grass or the freedom of a bird soaring through the air that will call to a part of me and draw me to these images.
