I was born on Isle of Sheppy in 1973, a small island in Kent, South East England.
I began sketching and painting a lot from about the age of 19. Having completed a Btec Diploma in Art and Design, at a college in Dover; I then moved to Somerset and found a large flat in a beautiful Victorian manor house overlooking City of Wells. Here I was able to learn to paint: I had the time and the space: after 7 years of painting I began to produce the genre of work I continue to develop today. Since then; I completed a BA degree in Fine Art and I am currently half way through an MA in Art History.
My first exhibition was in Wells, just a year before I moved away in 2000. The exhibition was at the Town Hall. It was not until moving away from Wells that I became aware of what had inspired myself to paint water.
