Growing up in Kentucky, with all its natural beauty, and with the profound influence of an artistically inclined family, I started painting at age 15 and majored in studio art in college. I primarily paint in oils on canvas, but will venture into acrylics and watercolors, occasionally. My work is mostly landscapes of a realistic or traditional flavor, but again, with the sometimes random attempt at abstraction or more figurative subject matter.
On other matters, I would say that I am also profoundly influenced by what I regard as spiritual experiences and I try to convey some of what I have learned on the way. I don't think it is possible to learn everything in this lifetime and what has been presented to me has created more questions than answers, but apparently the journey is the answer, from all indications, and so the trail goes on, however faint it may become.
