Landscape Photography of Nevada is my speciality, living as I do here in the Palomino Valley, Nevada. The light here can be amazing and ever changing, and I try to capture the moods of the weather in all seasons.
I am have an intense connection with the Mountains and Wilderness, and attempt to INTERPRET that emotion in my art. I view Photography as an ART FORM….NOT as a process that creates an exact record of the scene!
Variety in styles is what I do… some of my images are very colourful, traditional picture postcard style, while others are much more moody. I have no qualms about using HDR methods though I do prefer to Layer Blends, as it gives a far less a coarse image and more control. I do not use Photoshop or Photomatix but only a simple editor, Gimp 2.6.
