I have had a life-long passion for art since childhood. I took this love for art and pursued an education at Grand Valley State University and Ferris State University both in Michigan. At GVSU, I did figurative drawing, painting and sculpture and later received my commercial illustration degree from FSU.
After graduation, I moved to the Detroit area and have been working in the commercial art field for over 26 years as a commercial illustrator/photo retoucher. My career in illustration has allowed execution of many different styles including product, realistic, figurative, graphic and decorative painting. Some of the clients I have done work for are General Motors Corporation, Ford Motor Corporation, Chrysler Corporation, Whirlpool, Ameritech, FTD, Red Roof Inns, Motorola, Dupont, Mopar, Tribune Entertainment, 96.3 FM - 'The Beat', Interglobal Home Video, Continental Airlines and Compuware, to name a few, producing advertising in brochures, catalogs, magazines and billboards, etc.
Professional awards include Scarab Club, Gold and Silver Caddies in Detroit for the commercial illustration market.
During my career, I have always painted for myself. I am using this site to market and chronicle my fine art paintings.
I reside in a small community north of Detroit with my wife of nearly 23 years and our 3 children.
