SubSpace art

SubSpace art was established in August 2010 in Culver City's downtown district. Born of a public space, the gallery offers a truly unique alternative venue in which to feature fine art. Appealing to a diverse audience, SubSpace art features an eclectic mix of traditional works, painting, sculpture, assemblage, graffiti, illustrative and pop surrealist works. The diversity extends into featured live music performances from jazz to rock, hip-hop and electronic to hardcore and metal. SubSpace art was formed through community effort and partnerships developed with property management and resident businesses. Offering opportunities for emerging artists and exhibiting established artists, the gallery offers works at reasonable prices without standard gallery fees. SubSpace art is also a transitional gallery. In December 2011, the gallery will close its doors as the building is slated for demolition. Moving to a new location nearby, the gallery will soon announce its opening of SubSpace 2.0

The gallery's final exhibition in its current locale takes place Saturday October 15th as we welcome CBS Lords graffiti crew to take over the building prior to its demolition.
