I grew up in the Chicago area and moved to Arizona in 1978 to attend college at ASU. After receiving my Bachelorís degree in Anthropology, I returned to get my Masterís degree in Education. In 1990, I started teaching at a special education school and continue to teach science and Spanish to adolescents at the Howard Gray Education Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. I am married and have a son in college.
All along, I have been interested in photography. I have studied black and white, landscape, and digital photography. Several years ago I received my first digital camera and my photography really progressed after that. Over the last few years I have become more interested in conservation and my photography often reflects topics in these areas.
I have been published in National Geographic, Parade Magazine, Galapagos Conservancy, Earthwatch, McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, Current Science Magazine and Phoenix Zoo Wildtimes. Many of my photos have even been featured on the Kodak Picture of the Day website.
