Susan hails from a family of amateur artists going back 100 years; her mother was a local portraitist, her grandfather a cartoonist, numerous cousins produced charcoal nudes and animals yet she is the only one to turn professional. After 30 years of consistent painting and display she has finally joined the digital age and transfered her business to the web. Ever since she was a child she has used, and continues to use the signature 'so' on all her work. Please look for that signature on the bottom right of her creations. Susan has frequently said that she will paint on anything that doesn't move faster than her paintbrush and thus has created numerous oil and acrylic portraits, paintings on wood, murals on cinderblock as well as plaster and plasterboard, trunks, boxes and even the occasional saw. Collected by some dedicated and discerning individuals, Susan will create nearly anything the client desires on any surface they require. If it's possible to put paint on it, Susan will accept the challenge.
Working freelance, on commission, and as a cover illustrator for various books, she has had the honor and pleasure of working with hundreds of clients and knowing that thousands of people have enjoyed her art through the years. Her goal is to create exactly the mood her clients desire in exactly the way they desire it.
