I am a sixth-generation Californian, and have been on a conscious spiritual path since 1974, when I received Shaktipat from Baba Muktananda, the Siddha Yoga Guru. Since then, I have practiced meditation, chanting mantras in Sanskrit, hatha yoga, and selfless service with my meditation group. I have been an artist all my life. I painted in oil, acrylic and watercolors. For 10 years, my illustrations of pets and gardening appeared weekly in the LA Times. I had a greeting card company called RAGS during the late 1980s, and I distributed my cards throughout the US for five years. I have a BFA in Painting from UCLA. I studied illustration at Pasadena's Art Center College of Design. And I have a professional certificate in digital imaging and graphic design from UCLA Extension. I am an illustrator, graphic designer, and art director, as well as a certified Hatha yoga instructor and a healing vegan Macrobiotic chef and cooking teacher. I am also a mother, and have a daughter who is 28 years old. All my Sacred Art Works are created to inspire meditation, peace and love. Most of these Sacred Art Works have variations on a theme, with different colored backgrounds, with or without sayings. Many of these artworks are inspired by cherished 12-Step Program slogans.
