Tolerís images are a synthesis of her spiritual well being, extensive expertise in visual communications and her affinity for the written word. She meticulously builds each piece layer by layer, applying color and texture as a visual prose of serenity, inspiration and at times ambivalence. ďThe ultimate goal is to submerge the viewer into the energy of that moment, whether that energy is good, bad or indifferent.í' Torn between the detail and delicacy of Realism and the subtle rhythms and impulsive fluency of Impressionism, Toler blends both into her repertoire. She embraces the beauty and emotion found in both vibrant and muted color pallets. Acrylics, pastels and a variety of mixed media are Tolerís tools of choice.
Toler earned a degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Houston and has established a twenty-five year career in the field of visual art. She served as Creative Director of her own graphics studio, AdVox Design & Production Studio in San Antonio Texas for a period of ten years, and has worked as a freelance artist and Communications Director.
