Every generation has its own lifestyle, difficulties, problems and solutions and nothing expresses this reality better than art. From a young age colors and forms have caught my attention, so I decided to use art as an instrument to register the emotions that I live everyday. My observations of life sometimes cause me to feel indignation and surprise, other times fear and sadness, still other times I feel happiness and am grateful for life. The longer I live, the more life surprises me with both wonderful and awful news.
To reach my goal of conveying my emotions in my artwork I use vibrant colors, different materials and techniques. Just as the range of my emotions is broad so is the range of materials I use in my work: fabric, sand, paper, different types of paint, acrylic plaster, and seeds. My technique and materials vary greatly depending upon my mood and the mood of my painting.
I believe that we all have a responsibility to improve the planet while we are living here and I hope that my art can be my small contribution to make the earth a better place. Because of this belief I created art classes in my city in Brazil for needy children with the hopes that art would give them the opportunity to develop creativity and self-confidence.
I live life to the fullest and my experiences provide the material for my art. My passion for art makes me grateful to be alive and painting.
I was born in Brazil and I moved to USA in 2005
