Hi there!
I am a beginner self taught artist. Not much experience but huge amounts of passion for painting. I've started in 2006 when my husband gave me oil paints and a few brushes for Christmas. He thinks I have a gift. I am still not sure.. You see, I'm never satisfied with my work. It brings me lots of pleasure, yes. Do I have what makes an artist, I don't know.
Please, help me, dear artists and art lovers, with your criticism and possibly advice. Comments on my paintings are most welcome!

Oficial bio: Tatyana Shurtz, a native of Saint Petersburg, Russia's cultural and art center, has devoted much of her life to art in many different facets. From drawing, sketching and classical piano in her early years to photography and watercolors as a young adult, creativity came naturally to her.
In 1998 Tatyana left Russia to find a new life in America. Landing in the Big Apple she pursued her new creative calling in the digital realm of multimedia. After a several months of teaching herself computer graphic design she was hired as a graphic artist for a top multimedia design firm.
Several years and several states later Tatyana has settled down in historic town, Spencer, North Carolina. After many years of working in the digital medium Tatyana felt a strong urge to pursue more traditional forms of creativity. She painted her very first painting in February 2006. Since that time oil painting has become a passion of hers and much of her time is now devoted to it.
Tatyana Shurtz is a member of Charlotte Art League and Mooresville Art Guild.
