A self taught artist, I began drawing at an early age and through the years of making a living in another field, I found time to expand my knowledge of various mediums and techniques and produced enough pieces to enter a few art shows and had my work displayed in different settings.
In 1982 I submitted two pieces to a competition for work to be on permanent display in the new Spokane City Hall. Judged by individuals from the San Francisco Museum of Modern art, I was the only artist to have all of their submissions purchased.
After retiring from my profession in 2010, Iíve enjoyed being able to spend as much time as possible creating work that reflects my interests and passions. Constantly inspired by the wildlife and nature surrounding my home in the Selkirk Range of the northern Rocky Mountains, I never lack for subject matter.
