I thought nof leaving a book of my journey with my art, when I die. I could call it. From obscurity to virtual unknown. The paintings of a NZ. Self taught amatuer. This to keep my art alive in my own country when i'm gone. Liver cancer. Hard to beat, but I must, as still work to do. Chemotheraphy started on the 29th november 2012. Feeeling a bit weak at the moment. Nothing like a useby date to sharpen the senses. I now have a great need to paint again in my countrys high mountain areas. First job is to survive the chemo process. This site, will be loaded with work in storage from the mid 1970s through to the present. My falure to market my work has lead me to realize that am still an amature. The doing has always been more important to me than the selling. My reward has been the satisfaction in the creation of a good painting. That is when I succeed. I have always tried to learn from each finished work, successful or not. Good art requires good seeing. That has always my always been my goal. Terry Perham, b. Bleneim New Zealand. 1941- Who knows?
