Originally from Fort Sill, Oklahoma, Jan-Michael Quintos Turla learned at an early age his God-given talent to arts through pencil art. Despite being hit with a lot of negativity on who there is no future in the arts, eventually, he would eventually take a risk with his love. First starting with a discovered love for writing, he self-published two novels through iUniverse just when the self-publishing movement started and cost a lot of money to pursue. Both 'Fated' and 'Tourniquet' are considered popular among the Anarchist community and do well in anarchist bookstores.
Earlier in 2012, The Alpha Jan was able to procure a traditional publisher in Silver Knight Publishing. He plans to publish his third book traditionally titled 'Hierarchy' as well as republish revised editions of his first two novels too. Afterwards, he dabbled in painting just to find out how much he loved to paint more so than just pencil sketching. His specialty is portraits especially those of a personal nature for whoever he paints for.
