The Center for Emerging Artists, created in the year 2000, was developed in response to a state and national trend aimed at discovering and fostering the artistic talents of individuals with disabilities. The Center is supported by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Retardation, the families of The Arc, and through the efforts and contributions of the public.
The Center welcomes individuals who would like to explore their artistic talents with the support of the Center’s professional staff. Arts assessments are available that can be made flexible according to the individual’s schedule. The Center provides ongoing opportunities for artists on a full-time and part-time basis.
