I love Life through the Lens! It's a natural extension of my enjoyment of creating meaningful and thought provoking images and literature. My professional writing and photography career spans more than twenty-five years, and has included regional travel and exploration columns and features for the Tampa Bay Times and other periodicals. My first book, The Food Allergy Field Guide: A Lifestyle Manual For Families (Savory Palate, 2000), was released in its second edition in 2006. My second book, the Florida Allergy Handbook, the safe and sane guide to Florida's great outdoors, was just released by the University Press of Florida.
The same experiences that compel me to written reflection also inspire my photography - thought provoking images, colors, and scenes that I enjoy exploring through my camera lens, and which I enjoy sharing with you here. Life, while sometimes difficult, is also often beautiful, if we just take the time to be in the moments that present themselves to us.
