ABOUT: Tom is a freelance professional photographer of Fine Art and Stock images. A lifetime naturalist, he loves the outdoors and feels a responsibility to use his skills to create awareness of our treasured resources and scenic landscapes. He specializes in scenic landscapes, nature, abstract and semi-abstract in nature. Thomas creates unique and expressive landscapes with a style all his own. He resides in the scenic Litchfield Hills of northwestern Connecticut. Capturing the essence and pace of time of his native New England is his single most passionate subject. Tom is a juried member of the 'New England Photographers Guild'
ARTIST STATEMENT: My goal is to create original Fine Art Photographs. I concentrate on selling 'Quality over Quantity' and meeting the high standards set for Fine Art Photographers. The process is characterized by attention to detail and deliberate actions, being observant to capture the scene in appropriate lighting. Every image is a composite of combining technical excellence and being artistically inspiring. I do not allow the camera to make decisions for me, as it is a cold mechanical device that does not express my passion or feelings for the scene before me.
Capturing the key ingredients of a dynamic composition is quite exhilarating. An interesting subject, dramatic lighting and visual impact are some of the ingredients I seek out. The images I create share my unique personal vision for the subject before me. I am in awe of nature and deeply influenced to connect with people through my photography.
STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY: I am a 'rights managed' photographer, meaning I do not allow others to represent my work or negotiate license agreements. I respond to all inquires about using my photography cheerfully and diligently when I am approached in a professional and courteous manner. Requesting use of my work in return for a 'photo credit' is NOT considered proper on any level. My rates are fair and affordable. When inquiring about using my photography for any purpose, I request you provide me with very specific details about your project or publication. Thank you for your patience.
