ABOUT: Tom is a freelance professional photographer of Fine Art and Stock images. A lifetime naturalist, he loves the outdoors and feels a responsibility to use his skills to create awareness of our treasured resources and scenic landscapes. He specializes in scenic landscapes, nature, abstract and semi-abstract in nature. Thomas creates unique and expressive landscapes with a style all his own. He resides in the scenic Litchfield Hills of northwestern Connecticut. Capturing the essence and pace of time of his native New England is his single most passionate subject. Tom is a juried member of the 'New England Photographers Guild'
ARTIST STATEMENT: My goal is to create original Fine Art Photographs. I concentrate on selling 'Quality over Quantity' and meeting the high standards set for Fine Art Photographers. The process is characterized by attention to detail and deliberate actions, being observant to capture the scene in appropriate lighting. Every image is a composite of combining technical excellence and being artistically inspiring. I do not allow the camera to make decisions for me, as it is a cold mechanical device that does not express my passion or feelings for the scene before me.
Capturing the key ingredients of a dynamic composition is quite exhilarating. An interesting subject, dramatic lighting and visual impact are some of the ingredients I seek out. The images I create share my unique personal vision for the subject before me. I am in awe of nature and deeply influenced to connect with people through my photography.
STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY: I am a 'rights managed' photographer, meaning I do not allow others to represent my work or negotiate license agreements. I respond to all inquires about using my photography cheerfully and diligently when I am approached in a professional and courteous manner. Requesting use of my work in return for a 'photo credit' is NOT considered proper on any level. My rates are fair and affordable. When inquiring about using my photography for any purpose, I request you provide me with very specific details about your project or publication. Thank you for your patience.

The just published 2013 Scenic New England calendar by Fine Art photographer Thomas Schoeller has hit the shelves in many specialty shops throughout New England. Calendars can be purchased direct from his website at http://www.thomas-schoeller.artistwebsites for only $13.95 ea. plus $4.00 S/H.
This high quality calendar runs an extra month beginning with January 2013 and extending one month past December and featured all original artwork by Schoeller. All six of New Englands states are represented well, each scenic landscape image tells a unique story and was captured in a pleasing artistic manner by the photographer who also calls New England his home.
Calendars are wallhangers, and when open for display they measure a full 11x17". Both covers are high gloss. As many as 5 calendars can be shipped in a single mailing envelope for the same $4.00 S/H fee
A new addition to the Galleries of Thomas Schoeller has just been announced. Aptly titled "Magical Light" from the scenic coastline of Maine's Acadia National Park. The sheer 110' drop of Otter Cliffs are visible in the backdrop as a long exposure of the pounding surf on the cobblestones of Boulder beach capture the ethereal movement of the ocean.
The rare occurance of alpine glow transforms the scene to an epic landscape. The cool blues of twilight juxtaposed to the warm diffused morning light as they radiate off the pink granite just add to the drama. This is definitely one scenic landscape that deserves to be printed on Metal. Metallic prints can transform the brilliant luminance of the scene like no other media.
Also be sure to check out the all new Gallery dedicated to Panoramic landscapes!
I've recently just finalized a second option to purchase matted Fine Art Prints and other products direct with Thomas Schoeller photography. I joined the website Etsy just before the new year and slowly began to become familiar with how things work there and finally, WHEW! I have long realized the need to provide my customers a shopping option where I can actually sign all of my artwork, provide an artist statement and our newest brochure and make the sale simply "from our home to yours".
I will be adding products to sell in my Etsy store on a constant basis. You will find New England scenic landscapes, Lighthouse art prints, rustic barn art and beautiful scenic landscapes from Vermont and even Cades Cove, Tennessee! All of my listed matted prints will fit into standard sized frames, the smallest I offer will be 13x19", growing to 18x24" up to 22x30" but not limited to those...
The spring issue of Poets & Writers magazine is available now, and the focus of the magazines March/April 2012 issue is the Spring guide to writers retreats. The feature article is based on the Literary seminar being held in "Hemingways Key West", including reports from the past and related articles on writers residency. For this article, the magazine contacted professional photographer Thomas Schoeller about some work he created that caught the eye of one of the magazines editor assistants. The image depicts a portion of the "Old Town-Key West" neighborhood along Caroline Street bathed in the soft warm glow of the setting sun before it dipped below the distant horizon. The photograph was brought to the attention of Managing editor Suzanne Pettypiece, and within a week it was decided as the center spread for pages 54 and 55.
We've just added a brand new themed gallery to the list! This one is dedicated to unique Greeting Card layouts for all seasons and occasions. The first greeting card design is available and you can purchase single for $5.95 or save by ordering in packs of 10 and more by packs of 25! We will be adding new concepts on a regular basis, and if you have an idea using any of our artwork for a specific occasion please do not hesitate to contact us.
Available for sale through the website while supplies last. The new 2012 calendar is a 12 month wall hanger that opens up to a standard 17" x 11". Included are 12 monthly images plus the bonus cover shot. Buy direct and save, the total comes to $15.95 ea. including shipping via USPS ground. Sold to USA only. Visit http://www.ThomasSchoellerPhotography.com and enter the "gallery".

Pikers unique store is located in the picturesque village of West Cornwall, Connecticut. Famous for it's 170 year old covered bridge and gorgeous setting spanning the rapids of the Housatonic River.
Piker himself is an artisan, becoming passionate with the potters wheel in 1972. Using natures very own pallette-air,earth,fire and water to create domestic treasures. Many of Pikers customers have become "collectors", making it a point to visit the store every time they take a trip to the scenic "Litchfield Hills". Besides the covered bridge, the store itself has become a tourist attraction. Piker not only sells his own work, but also offers the work of others that meet their stan...
