I am a self-taught impressionist painter specializing in acrylics. I began like most artists do with doodling during my early teens and being introduced to acrylics and watercolors in high school. I didn't 'mature' however, until I was about 30 years old.
I center my work around rural life and nostalgia. I have an affinity for horses, old cars, and sunsets. I get a lot of my inspiration from my home in Western Washington surrounded by forests, mountains as well as the sea.
Acrylics is my preferred medium as I don't have the patience to allow oils to dry. Typically, I like to get most of my work done within a few hours while the creative juices are flowing.
Regardless of subject matter, I enjoy the creative process. I have painted murals and other artistic work as well and can often be found at art and craft shows throughout the southern Puget Sound region.
