I have been involved in aviation almost since the day I was born. My father worked for the Dept. of Forestry and was involved in the 'air tanker' end of the business. It didn't take me long to pick up the line and follow those footsteps. Over the years, I have been both a paid-city firefighter / emt and a volunteer in many of the locations I have lived. Not all was work. Along the way, I managed to make a living in the music industry for awhile, as well as own and work at a tattoo shop.
After 27 years of service, I retired and dove into my passion for art. Having grown up literally at the airport it's no surprise that my focus for art was naturally aviation and includes my second love for the fire fighting industry as well. My work primarily tends to center around fire fighting aircraft but just about anything with wings is fair game.
Other than art class back in high school, I've never really studied it much. I've just always put what I see and feel thru the brush. Kind of like music, it comes from the heart and soul of who you are. I feel blessed I can do this.
