After graduating from Indiana University's Herron School of Art in Indianapolis in 1991, Todd Fox set out to travel and photograph the people and places that interested him most. Now almost 20 years later he has amassed a portfolio of images from around the United States and Europe. His photography is a conscious effort to break free of the glamorous and superficial, trying instead to elicit beauty from the world of the mundane and the everyday people who inhabit that world. He prefers to shoot on the street with available light and strives to combine strong composition with interesting subject matter, all in an effort to capture a photograph that is both compelling and beautiful. Todd's portfolio of post-Katrina New Orleans was used by the FOX television network in their short-lived series 'K-ville', and his Romania portfolio was spotlighted in the April 2007 issue of Black and White magazine. Todd has exhibited his work at various galleries in Indianapolis and is a member of the artist's cooperative Broad Ripple Art and Design.
