Tom Conway

Based in England and with some formal art training early on, I have since developed and experimented with various painting techniques and styles. Whilst I focus on figurative paintings, I also produce some paintings of animals, sports and landscapes.

Many of my paintings combine artistic styles such as impressionist art, symbolism, pop art, and geometric patterns that I hope result in attractive and intriguing ‘T J Conway’ paintings and artworks. Influences include Edgar Degas, Peter Blake, and photographers including Man Ray, and Leonard Nimoy ( Yes Mister Spock from Star Trek!) along with many others.

Typical subjects include contemporary music figures, fashion, dance, and the performing arts. You will find a range of canvas prints, posters, and greeting cards available from the online galleries here with paintings of dancers, musicians , female nudes and pinup girls. I also occasionally combine photography, and artwork with digital effects , and you will see some examples including variations on the original painting of Jimi hendrix (now available as canvas prints and posters) , and the dance art work 'Cosmic Dancer.'
