To my last paintings I got my inspiration from timetables, agendas, riddles, receipts, and other every-day materials using numbers. Numbers are a very living matter to me. Combining numbers in schedules, tables with the organic matter of painting I found an interesting theme for me.
I think I see quite more life and character in numbers, than my maths teachers did. We should honor the figures more for what they bring us every day. They serve us without a doubt guarding our private secrets behind codes; for accounts, phones and locks. Like milestones they symbolize periods in our lives as phone numbers or addresses.
My paintings are a tribute to numbers.
They say my art is not figurative... - How can it be more figurative?
