Artist Statement


When working with oil, I am reminded of a world full of wonderful color whether it is an abstract of paradise distorted or an impressionistic landscape of a magical land in dreams of amazing colors: in the end it’s all worth the effort. Painting is a just, a spectacular freedom of expression.
My three favorites colors are cerulean blue, cadmium yellow and burnt sienna because they represent nature. My favorite forms of paintings are abstracts and impressionistic landscapes and seascapes.
I also paint on commission from photos. My inspiration came form impressionist painting of Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet. My favorite painting of Monet’s is the spectacular Water Lilies Green Reflection, and Van Gogh’s Sunflowers. These works typify the peace and joy I hope to share with my paintings.
