I'm originally from California but live in Oklahoma and can claim Colorado and a few other states as home. Living in Oklahoma offers many opportunities, even for artists. A conversation I had once with a fellow photographer who had traveled the world put it in perspective. 'I realized that once I was out there, coming back to Oklahoma, I discovered everything I needed to accomplish could be done right here.' OK, so those weren't her exact words, but fairly close. I agree.
When I moved here 15 years ago, I felt like art and culture were lacking. That has changed so much in the last decade. Artists are discovering Oklahoma has a great deal to offer and for me, as a photographer and writer, I know I have much to explore still. Connecting with other artists, both at home and online is valuable.
You will discover in my gallery here at Fine Art America that I have a variety of work. I've never been inclined to just focus on one subject and am somewhat eclectic. Some days I may solely be inspired by my daily work and strictly shoot photojournalism. Then there are those days I push the creative envelope and spend hours working on one image, using textures and layers and even dabbling in digital painting.
Oddly enough, those who know me or remember my work are for the western images I shoot, since this part of the country offers up regular doses of it, and for my art images of carnival rides.
Inspired by life around me, I continue to photograph a variety of things.
My greatest photography accomplishments include having an exhibit in the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center in Duncan, Oklahoma and being associated with that facility and the people connected to it. Private collectors have shown an interest in my western work and the ferris wheel images. I hope you enjoy your time browsing my images and feel free to drop a comment and return anytime!

Note: Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum is one of the top 10 western museums in the United States. It was an honor to have my work featured there, especially at the same time that internationally known artist Donna Howell-Sickles work was on display, and Lonesome Dove's set images were there.
