I'm a twenty-six year old professional artist, with a wide range of ability and style. I run my own website and art business. Please visit my website at www.toniasfineart.com
The range of my artwork includes detailed photo-realistic drawings and paintings, to vivid colorful fantasy scenes, as well as some semi-abstract pieces. I draw and paint portraits for customers, if you are interested please email me at:
toniad@toniasfineart.com or visit my website to find out more.
I am a contributing member of Psychiatry Philosophy + Art (PPA) and Blind Artist Society(BAS). My art was displayed at the BAS show in 2008 at the Albany Museum of History and Art in upstate New York. I happen to have an eye disorder called Retinopathy of Prematurity. I also contribute articles and artwork to PPA, a website about the connection between mental illness and art.
I have no academic 'training', or knowledge of art history, etc., and I never learned how to draw using an instructional book. My ability comes from many years of simply drawing things that I see or imagine around me. I am not influenced by any artist's style, famous or otherwise. My style is completely my own, which is in part the reason why I have a wide range of style and in my art. The other reason is because I have been drawing and painting for over eighteen years, since I was a young child. I've acquired a lot of flexibility over the years since I've been drawing as a young child.
When I was a child I discovered that I had a natural interest and intuition for drawing, and I would constantly practice drawing the things around me.
