I am a self taught Scratchboard artist. Although I dabble in other media I find this particular form suites me best for two dimensional works. My body of work includes Abstractionism, Modern, Classic, Pre-Postism, Neo-Retro, Representational and Abstruse, (plus a couple of 'Ism's'). My media includes: Pressed Metal Sculpture, Found Object Sculpture, Fine Art, ( Is there such a thing as 'Rough' art? ), Photography, Poetry, and my newest brainchild, 'Sculptography'. ( OK, so lately I've been on this sculpture binge! ), ( O.K fine, it's more of a compulsion, but at least I'm honest! )
My current objective is to link sculpture with scratchboard as one media.<<<<----- ( I kinda gave up on that too! ) I feel it relies more on the removal of material and brings out what is hidden. <<<<----( That was just 'Artspeak', What I should say is 'I am finding I can better express my intent and imagery through 3 dimensional works' )
The subject of my work has a very wide range. <<<----( Artspeak again! ) Some pcs. are cynical while others are obviously just for fun. <<<---( Way true! ) My works are basically things that I would like to see in the world of art, so I scratch, photo or sculpt them myself. <( Like I am going to pay sombody to do it...right! ) Enjoy!
