Born in Puerto Rico, lived in the states, and currently residing back on the island. I paint in acrylics on canvas.. Surreal naturalism. Have many paintings with the national instrument of Puerto Rico, the Cuatro. I feel art is a taste of immortality. Something that lasts after your gone. It's a shame that most artwork sells for more after your dead. Hope that brought out a laugh. That's what I want to convey in my artwork, some emotion, some feeling, sense of joy and one day homes for all my paintings. Currently working on a series on the cuatro. This instrument was a secret but, now it's heard all over the world. It's a beautiful instrument to hear and also a beautiful instrument to paint. I play this instrument professionally and have been captivated by it's sound. That would be my statement as an artist: I want people to hear the painting, to feel it. I paint for no other reason.
