I can remember having a Barbie camera when I was a little girl. Look at me, look at me - I want to take your picture! Why do I take pictures now?? I do it because I want to capture, celebrate and immortalize the beauty around me. Maybe I’ll see something you have never seen (or at least not the way I saw it) and the beauty will touch you – or maybe it will spark a nice memory for you. I don’t just do it for others, though — I’m selfish; photography relaxes me, challenges me, amuses me, inspires me, and brings me great joy.
I print my fine art on very high quality photographic paper and then I paint on a canvas coating. This allows me to frame my art without using glass, which lessens distractions, and also gives the art a painterly feel. I also am able to expand my artistic inspiration by being proficient in digital editing software, which allows me to creative special effects to allow my creativity to show through. I love it when people don’t believe me when I tell them my photograph is not a painting! I can output to almost any size (from 5x7 inches to 6x12 feet) and all of my limited edition work is signed and numbered.
