I call my style Contemporary Western Expressionism. My medium is acrylic because I love the bright colors, the opaque and transparent qualities and the fast drying time! I paint intuitively and automatic. I let the colors and abstract forms guide me to my finished work. My subject matter are the magnificent animals of the West. My parents were incredibly supportive of my artistic activities. I grew up with horses and my Dad used to take me with him on his outdoor adventures in the Colorado mountains. I've come full circle back to the subject matter I know best. Collectors have remarked, 'you capture the essence of the animal' and 'I'm mesmerized' to name a few. I hope my work speaks to you!
