Thank you for your interest in my paintings. Here is my story:
The human mind always want to categorize and compare. I categorize as living and non living.
I am always fascinated with faces and colors, and my search led me to the fine art of portraiture. The great masterpieces, Bouguereau, Rembrandt, Raphael, and Michelangelo demonstrate my conviction that one of artist's greatest challenges and achievements is to evoke a sense of individual spirit and beauty. I find my own fulfillment in capturing the essential qualities of an individual I portray. I thoroughly enjoy portraits and also still life and figure painting.
Life brought me to US and I began the study of portraiture with an internationally recognized artist San Do for porcelain, Marvin Mattelson for oils and Margaret Dyer for pastels.
My paintings have been well received by renowned clients nationally and internationally. My works are valued for beauty, sensitivity and for unusual ability to capture likeness. I strive to create a compelling portrait and an exquisite work of art that my clients will cherish forever. I am also a Certified Teacher and a Certified Artist for International Porcelain Artists and Teachers Association.
My credits include Silver and Bronze Awards for my porcelain paintings at International Porcelain Artists and Teachers, Inc. Eastern Convention, at Indianapolis, IN, in 2005, and Merit Award at 5th Annual Juried Art Show from Auburn Arts Association, Auburn, AL, in 2003. Also, the response for my solo show at Sylacauga, AL, was astonishing. Some of my works are on display as permanent collection in Sylacauga Gallery, in Universities, and private collections internationally all around the world. I have been donating several of my works to non-profit and charitable organizations, cancer fund raiser programes.
