Vildan ISIK was born in 1973 in Osmaniye/Turkey. After completing a two year college on ceramics, she graduated from Dokuz Eylul University, Fine Arts Department. with a B.A. degree. Her thesis subject is: “Coincidence & Coincidentally Problematic of 20th Century Painting”.
She earned her M.F.A. from Cumhuriyet University with a thesis on “Art Discussions of Turkish Painting Between 1930 and 1970 & The Artist, Being in the Focus of Those Discussions: Bedri Rahmi Eyuboglu”.
She gave lessons on painting and drawing between 1999 and 2001 at different institutions in Turkey. She has been a lecturer at Cumhuriyet University since 2002. She is working on contemporary abstract paintings and abstraction of various figures in her studio in the same university. Her favorite media are oil and acrylic on canvas.
