My name is Virginia Raquel Peralta de Furness originally from Cordoba, Argentina and came to the USA with my parents as a small child. I reside with my family in the foothills outside of Denver, CO.
Although my journey in art began with fine art photography, I have continued to explore the many facets of art. I am thrilled to announce that I completed my Web Design Diploma from the Art Institute of Pittsburg September 2008 with a 4.0 GPA. I continue to study photography, web design and digital art independently and through continuing education opportunities. Recently I have been immersing myself in oil painting and classical charcoal figure drawing. I am currently studying at the Art Student League of Denver. I have chosen to follow the high standards and traditions of classical drawing and painting. This involves intensive mentoring from a classically trained live master over a period of years beginning with Anthony Ryder in Santa Fe, NM.
'Photography allows me to express my personal response to real and imagined experiences. Photographic artists transcend the camera's purely optical nature in order to be guided by the importance and mystical significance of worldly beauty.'
'Nature alone can lead to the understanding of art, just as art brings us back to nature with greater awareness. It is the source of all beauty, since it is the source of all life.'
