When it comes to professional photography I think itís safe to say that Iíve arrived late to the game. I always had a camera around in my younger years and never really lost the passion for it. I guess photography simply took a back seat to a few other things for awhile. For 20 some years I was a drummer. As my lust for rock stardom faded I taught myself web design/development and used that as a means to live. Fifteen years of that and Iím yearning for the adventures that only the road holds, adventures, places, people and events that I love capturing with a camera.
Over the past 6 years my passion for photography has grown to a feverish boiling point. Like a addict for a fix I need to be shooting all the time, plain and simple. So much are the similarities to addiction in that I gave up my home and sold almost all my material possessions to finance a road trip in 2010 that I was hoping would have lasted longer but still allowed me to produce many good images just the same. Since then I've been working, planning and preparing for the next road trip adventure which will launch mid 2015. I have kept my 'belongings' to a minimum and my focus on a future of travel.
My photos can be purchased both here and on my website at www.waynestadlerphotography.com which also contains some different work and limited edition prints. Most of my photographic travels are documented in full vibrant detail on my travel blog at www.wayneontheroad.com.
I also have a 'pay it forward' non-profit photography project called FotosForward that I will be shooting for while on my next trip. The proceeds from any sales of my work go toward keeping this project moving. www.fotosforward.com
If you happen to purchase some of my work from here, I'd love to receive a message letting me know how the final printed piece turned out. ...and so I can thank you personally. :)
