Artist. Philosopher. Lunatic. As an artist, I make drawings and digital works with a focus on patterning and on textures. I experiment with photomanipulation, mirroring and editing my completed works to generate new art from the raw materials of the old. I make drawings, outlining them in pencil and then filling them in with ink. As a philosopher, I like to discuss the theory and application of the principles of patterning, texture, color, and all the other elements of my work with like-minded individuals, as well as dissenters. I welcome critique and discussion on my works, as I believe it is always possible to improve upon them (though, given the nature of the medium, such improvements will have to go in future works as the present ones are unchangeable). I believe that perfection in art is both undesirable and unattainable, and I focus on making the most interesting, compelling flawed works I can, with intriguing ideas substituting for technical perfectionism. I also have a deviantart account, promethicon.deviantart.com , that is much larger than this one and houses many of my works that I simply haven't had time to post here. Check it out, if you have the time and interest. I am based in Milledgeville, GA, where I was born and raised.
