William (Bill) Demboski was born in Justus, Pennsylvania, in 1936. He attended St. James Catholic High School for Boys. After serving four years in the United States Navy, Bill graduated from Widener University with a degree in Electronics Engineering, using the GI Bill for his education. He worked in a number of small companies to obtain corporate experience. He began his career in the Medical Instruments Department of the DuPont Company. After serving numerous Supervisory and Management positions for 25 years, he retired in 1996 from Du Pont and then worked in an Executive Placement business to supplement his volunteer work. He also was a Plant Manager for Hill-Rom Corporation in the Philadelphia area. In 2003, he moved to Sarasota, Florida. There he met and married Karen Marcey, a transplant from Boston, Massachusetts. Their children and grandchildren live in the Northeast, with the cold and snow. Between Bill and Karen they have four daughters and eight grandchildren. Their last granddaughter was born on October 16, 2010. Bill likes to play golf, hunt, and fish. He loves the weather and all the scenic opportunities and the wildlife that is readily available to paint. He is an accomplished wildlife artist and has exhibited and sold his work in many local art shows.
