About William Glass
My work is of the tradition of drawing. The work has the look of various styles and influences from the renaissance to baroque to modern techniques. I have an undergraduate degree from Dayton Art Institute and a graduate degree in Painting from Miami University. My style ranges from Impressionist works in pastels to Oil paint on canvas or board. I look at my drawings as a prelude to what will develop in my paintings. The primary subject matter of my work is the female figure, usually dancers. Expressing lots of movement in both figures and gestures. My paintings have won numerous awards from various art shows across the US. It has been shown in numerous galleries with permanent collection in Rhode Island, Washington DC and also in China.
My formal training began at the College of Dayton Art Institute where I recived my undergraduate degree. I obtained a graduate degree in Painting from Miami University.
