I love photography because it gives one a very small slice of time to convey a feeling, mood or message. It is not about simply capturing a moment and regurgitating what comes out of the camera. Few shots start out as a great image. The image is simply the first ingredient in the recipe. Today's digital tools allow us to make an image by translating a live experience and because the live experience is much richer than the photographic output, it is the artist's task to accentuate and build upon the raw data to compensate for this limitation and try to fit that emotion or experience into a piece of paper or screen.
