Born 1942 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, I am an artist whose primary interest is in landscapes and seascapes. Art training was achieved through personal studies, persistence and the knowledge passed down by the masters of contemporary art.
By nature I am a highly independent and self-determined individual and this is reflected in my artistic style. The most striking features of my artwork are a distinctive use of colour and light providing a great range of mixes that accentuate the internal colour relationships within each of my paintings.
The sheer beauty of the great outdoors is the very element that fuels my artistic ambition which translates into the richness of nature throughout all my paintings.
