Born and raised near Kansas City, Missouri, I moved my midwest mentality to the Pacific Northwest in 1995. Settling near Olympia, Washington, I found a comfort zone I had always lacked in the middle of the country, where summers were 'too hot', and winters were 'too cold'. I also was struck by the sheer beauty of a region that stays lush and green, year round. I soon found myself photographing the Cascade mountains, the Olympic rainforest, the Pacific coastline, and all of the stunning beauty to be found in between.

I have begun a different journey with the beginning of this website. At the urging of friends and family, who have expressed their enjoyment over my images in the past, I have taken the first step towards becoming an artist. With the camera as my brush, I will try to capture the color, texture, and beauty of the world as I see it. I hope that you and others continue to enjoy my images.
