Yvonne has enjoyed art since she was a young child. The first time she really engaged in art was with her grandmother, who taught her how to paint with oils. Although she had training in still life and landscapes, she developed her own style of art over the years. She began to explore acrylics on canvas in 2002. In 2007 she attended college where she had taken a drawing and design course. It was during that time she decided to get more serious. After creating a few pieces, she contacted an art gallery who took a liking to her work. Just when she thought something new and wonderful was going to happen, a traumatic event occurred which resulted in the loss of all her art pieces. For three years she mourned over losing her work and gave up entirely. Near the end of 2012,a light began to shine and she picked up a brush and started to paint again. Since she had stayed in touch with her former art contact from the gallery, he has inspired her to keep moving forward and has helped along the way. She had to work up the courage to paint again and show the world without fear. She believes that all artists have their own unique gift which makes their artwork great. What she wants to accomplish first with her art is to receive recognition for her work, and from there dreams will grow.
