I loved this orange blue complimentary image and just had to paint it. It was one of my first large scale paintings and took quite some time to pull together. Dahlias are just graceful and full of beauty.

Every time I view this image I can still smell the sweet fragrance of these luscious peaches. The original painting was donated to the University of Nebraska's Art Department - Medici Fundraiser in 2006.
